The Panama Government will Build 2,700 Homes for Earthquake Victims.

President José Raúl Mulino pictured below, announced the construction of 1,400 additional homes, on top of the 1,300 already under construction, for families affected by the earthquake of October 9th. He also reported that temporary structures will be erected next to the homes under construction to house those affected while the permanent homes are being built.

“Today I announce that I have given instructions to build 1,400 additional homes, on top of the 1,300 whose construction has already begun. All of these homes will meet safety standards to provide a new home for Panamanians who lost theirs. While these homes are being built, temporary structures will be installed adjacent to the construction site, offering better conditions for the affected families,” Mulino said during a press conference.
