Panama – Danger struck again at the traditional barrier of the National Mejorana Festival, where a 43-year-old man was injured after entering the ring and being gored by a bull. The incident occurred during one of the traditional bullfighting events that are part of this renowned festival in Guararé. After being injured, the man was assisted and taken to receive medical attention. It was officially reported that he remains alive and stable at the Joaquín Pablo Franco Sayas Hospital in Las Tablas, where he is under observation.
The incident caused concern among witnesses, especially as rumors began circulating on social media that the man had died. This information turned out to be false. The new incident brings to mind an event that occurred three years ago at this same celebration, when another person lost their life after being gored by a bull during the bullfighting festival. Now, residents and visitors are again calling for increased controls inside and around the barrier, particularly to prevent people under the influence of alcohol from entering the area where the animals are located.
