Panama’s Finest Coffee will be Auctioned Online this Wednesday.
Pictured below are samples of Panamanian coffee at a Best of Panama tasting. The auction will open with a base price of $400 per kilogram for Geisha coffees with washed and natural processes, while for Varietals it will be $100 per kilogram, the base price.
Panama’s best specialty coffees return to the international auction that has achieved record prices in other years, reaching $30,204 per kilogram in 2025. This time, the auction curtain rises on the electronic platform at 6:00 pm Panama time, where buyers of the world’s best coffees from Asia, Europe, the Middle East and America will begin bidding and bidding to obtain the much-loved bean produced in the mountains of the province of Chiriquí, in Panama.
These are 50 lots of high-end coffee, each weighing 15 kilograms, which have already received the highest rating in the Best of Panama competition organized by the Specialty Coffee Association of Panama (SCAP). The auction will open with a base price of $400 per kilogram for Geisha coffees with washed and natural processes, while for Varietals it will be $100 per kilogram, the base price. In total, 40 lots of Geisha coffee and 10 lots of Varietals, totaling 750 kilograms, will be offered, the organization confirmed.

More than 256 buyers from Australia, Europe, the United States, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore, among other countries, have already been approved to participate in the BOP auction. Anyone can view the auction through the website https://bestofpanama.auction/ however, only approved buyers will have access to place bids.
Ricardo Koyner, president of the Specialty Coffee Association of Panama (SCAP), said that this global auction concludes the 30th edition of the BOP, in which Panama makes available authentic and certified coffees of high quality and with exceptional cups, in an auction in which buyers from all over the world previously approved by the association can participate.
“Buyers approved to place bids are assigned a code and they, with their code number, offer the price they are willing to pay per kilo in each of the lots.” According to Ricardo Koyner, president of SCAP.

Lots will be auctioned, 40 of which will be Geisha coffee and 10 varietal coffees. It will begin on Wednesday, September 23 at 6:00 pm.
