Alleged Leader of ‘Operation Jericho’ Linked to the Gulf Clan was Extradited to Panama from Colombia.
Pictured below, Alias Comanche, one of the most wanted men in ‘Operation Jericho’, was extradited from Colombia with the assistance of Interpol.
He arrived in Panama under Interpol protection and a heavy police presence after being captured in Medellín, where he was hiding under a false identity.
An alleged leader of Panama’s Operation Jericho (Operación Jericó), identified as Sánchez Rodríguez (alias “Comanche”), was extradited from Colombia to Panama on August 13, 2026. He is accused of leading local criminal networks and coordinating drug shipments for the international Gulf Clan (Clan del Golfo).

- Alleged Role: Coordinated the reception of speedboats carrying cocaine from Colombia through Guna Yala toward the Costa Rican border.
- Criminal Connections: Linked to local Panamanian gangs like “Pentágono” and “Los Galácticos” alongside the transnational Gulf Clan, utilizing front companies for money laundering.
In a high-security operation, the National Central Bureau of Interpol Panama carried out the extradition from Colombia of Jorge Néstor Sánchez Rodríguez, alias “Comanche”, the National Police reported. Alias “Comanche”, for whom Panamanian authorities offered a reward of $30,000, was captured in January 2025 in an exclusive area of Medellín, Colombia, where he managed to evade justice using a false identity.
