In Paso Canoas, Panama Customs Seizes a Shipment of Sweaters from the Argentine and Spanish National Soccer Teams

Agents from the Customs Enforcement Directorate seized a large quantity of jerseys from the Spanish and Argentinian national soccer teams. The seizure took place in the border area between Panama and Costa Rica, as part of the control measures implemented by authorities in border regions.  According to official reports, the illicit shipment was detected and delivered to a courier company located specifically in the Paso Canoas border area, on the Panamanian side.

Preliminary reports indicate that the merchandise was intended to be transported by land into the interior of the country.  Initial investigations indicate that the sweaters were destined for various recipients located in the provinces of Panama and Colón. Following the discovery, customs authorities formally seized the items to initiate the corresponding legal proceedings for suspected smuggling or trademark infringement.
