Panama Police Arrest 173 People in the Last 24 Hours

Under the Firmness Plan, the National Police arrested 173 people in the last 24 hours. Of these, 119 were arrested on warrants, 25 for administrative offenses, 38 caught in the act, and nine for drug trafficking.  Seventy-two search warrants were executed. In addition, seven firearms were seized and a vehicle was recovered.  In traffic matters, 1,110 tickets were issued, including 242 for speeding, 35 for improper lighting, 10 for expired licenses, eight for driving under the influence, and 10 for using a cell phone while driving. Additionally, 58 vehicles were towed for various reasons.
