Sinaproc Warns of More Intense Conditions Between July 10 and 11 with Rain and Storms in Panama

SINAPROC and IMHPA predict the most intense conditions between July 10 and 11 due to the passage of tropical waves and low pressure systems.

The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) issued a prevention notice for significant rains and storms that will be in effect until Sunday, July 12, 2026, due to the atmospheric conditions expected for the coming days.  According to forecasts from the Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of Panama (IMHPA), the increase in rainfall will be associated with the activation of low pressure systems and the passage of two tropical waves over the national territory.

When are the Heaviest Rains Expected?

The IMHPA indicated that the weather conditions will be more intense on July 10 and 11, when an increase in atmospheric instability is expected in different regions of the country.  Given this situation, the authorities are maintaining constant monitoring of weather conditions and areas that could be more vulnerable.
