Panama Calculates that $7 Million is Required for the First Phase Of the Urban Renewal Project in Albrook
The Albrook urban renewal plan will be located on the site of the current former hangars and warehouses of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP). The first phase of the urban transformation plan in Albrook includes the construction of road infrastructure, the recovery of green areas and the adaptation of land near the metro station, with a view to starting works in 2027.
While Albrook has seen substantial infrastructure additions such as the Metro Line 3 and expansions at the transportation terminal, current public sources do not reflect a $7 Million urban renewal project specifically targeting Albrook. Looking at a project if it were to go ahead, the first phase of an urban renewal project in the Albrook area could require about $7 million.

This is an initiative that seeks to be realized through the updating of the Partial Plan of the area of influence of Line 1 of the Panama Metro, SA, which is currently in the consultation process. The master plan covers an approximate area of 50 hectares, of which 38 hectares correspond to the development located behind the metro station in Albrook.
