Train Maintenance to Railway Systems and the Tunnel will Cost Metro $150 Million
With a projected investment of $150 million, the Panama Metro plans to modernize the systems of Line 2, perform major maintenance on the train fleet, and rehabilitate the tunnel of Line 1.
Metro de Panamá, SA, plans to invest $150 million in several maintenance projects to be implemented starting next year to strengthen the operation of lines 1 and 2. Line 1 alone has accumulated almost 13 years of uninterrupted operation.

The Director of Operations and Maintenance of the Panama Metro, Luis Carlos Díaz, reported that two tenders considered strategic for the operation of the system are currently published on the Panama Compra portal, which must be awarded before the end of the year.
