Bugaba and Panama City Join Hands for a Planned Demonstration June 22nd Regarding the Possible Reopening of the Copper Mine in Donoso

Expect disruption in Bugaba (Chiriqui province) and the capital Panama City on 22 June.  Organizers are protesting against the possible reopening of a copper mine in Donoso (Colon province).

In Panama City, participants are due to march from Parque Belisario Porras to Plaza 5 de Mayo from 4pm (local time), while a rally is scheduled at Parque Manuel A Guerrero in Bugaba from 5pm.  Increased police presence and localized traffic disruption are likely. Any ensuing disturbances would pose incidental risks to bystanders.
