Zenia Vásquez de Palacios is Placed Under House Arrest with Charges Filed Against her
Zenia Vásquez, former Secretary General of the Comptroller’s Office, arrived at the courthouse Thursday for her preliminary hearing.
The investigation began following an audit report from the Comptroller General of the Republic that revealed an unjustified increase in assets.

Judge Luzmila Jaramillo charged Zenia Vásquez de Palacios, the former Secretary General of the Comptroller’s Office, with the crime of alleged unjustified enrichment and applied the precautionary measure of house arrest and impediment to leaving the country.
