To Promote Community Projects the Mayors Met with the US Ambassador

Mayors meet with U.S. Ambassador Kevin Marino Cabrera. The mayors met with the United States ambassador to Panama to support local projects.

A group of mayors met this Monday with the United States Ambassador to Panama, Kevin Marino Cabrera, and his team, to coordinate joint actions with local governments focused on solving problems of water, health, infrastructure, education and security in the communities.  The president of the Association of Municipalities of Panama (Amupa), Nadine González, described the meeting as productive, noting that the diplomat expressed interest in working with the municipalities and deepening bilateral cooperation in economic development and the fight against drug trafficking.


For his part, the president of the Association of Mayors of Panama (Adalpa), Miguel Batista, emphasized the importance of implementing health programs in the districts and strengthening district risk management and tourism.  The mayors who participated in the meeting were: Yenia Julio, from Pinogana; Ina Rodríguez, from La Pintada; Jesenka Espinosa, from Boquerón; Rubén Darío Ríos, from Las Minas; Iván De León, from Santa María; Eric Domínguez, from Antón; Yecenia Alonso Martínez, from Pesé; and Aníbal Domínguez, from Tonosí.
