More than 1350 Students in Various Colón Schools Receive Backpacks from Cobre Panamá

Cobre Panamá delivered school backpacks to more than 1,350 boys and girls in more than 25 educational centers in the province of Colón, in coordination with community representatives, as part of its direct support actions for families in Colón.  The deliveries reached 13 districts, where community leaders accompanied the deliveries, facilitating that the benefit reached those who need it most and strengthening joint work in the territory. 

This program is designed to support students from low-income families by providing them with tools that contribute to their development and well-being.Each backpack represents not only school supplies, but also support for families and a sign of confidence in the children’s future.  The mayor of Colón emphasized the importance of these kinds of initiatives for the province: “These types of projects directly benefit our communities.

When the private sector works hand in hand with local leaders, the impact is truly felt by families and, above all, by our children.”   For her part, Maru Gálvez, Public Relations Manager for Cobre Panamá, stated: “These donations reflect our commitment to Colón and its people. Beyond providing one-off support, we seek to be present in the communities and contribute tangibly to the well-being of children and their families.”  With these types of initiatives, Cobre Panamá continues to make concrete contributions to communities, strengthening education and supporting families in actions that have a direct impact on their daily lives.
