Where to get your bivalent anti-covid vaccine post-carnival

The Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reports that until February 13,  118,918 doses of the bivalent vaccine against covid-19 from the pharmaceutical duo Pfizer / BioNTech have been administered.

The application of these doses will resume free of charge on Thursday, February 23    in the health facilities of the Minsa and the Social Security Fund, as well as in subway stations (5 de Mayo, Santo Tomás hospital, Carmen church, La Doña, and Los Pueblos). and private hospitals.

The vaccine is applied to people older than 12 years of age and who have had at least two doses of the monovalent vaccine.

The goal of updated booster vaccinations is to help restore protection, which has declined since the previous vaccination and provides broader protection against subvariants of the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
