The effects of the work stoppage by the delivery platform PedidosYa, now in its fourth day, are impacting not only restaurants and delivery drivers, but also consumers, who are reporting charges for orders they do not receive and delays in getting their money back.

“You pay upfront, but then the order is delayed and they cancel it because there are no drivers. Then they tell you that the refund takes seven days,” recounted one affected user in a comment on the PedidosYa platform’s Instagram account.
