Pictured below is a Swiss citizen Miguel González who was murdered yesterday gangland style in his car in Llano Bomito, Juan Díaz, by several gunshot wounds.
Miguel González, a Swiss citizen involved in financial activities and who operated the brokerage firm Firmus Financial Inc., was identified as the person shot dead Wednesday morning in Llano Bonito, a district of Juan Díaz, near the Southern Corridor. The victim’s vehicle, a gray Kia Sportage, sustained more than 30 bullet holes, leading authorities to believe that the attackers used automatic weapons. Neighbors reported hearing numerous gunshots. The investigation reveals that González had been living in Panama for several years and maintained financial advisory activities. His offices were located in the Financial Park Tower, in the Costa del Este area.
González was hit by three bullets in the back, two in the left thigh and one in the hip. Miguel González gave details of the men who fatally attacked him in Llano Bonito. Before he died, Swiss economist Miguel González managed to point out that the attackers who intercepted him in Llano Bonito yesterday were wearing vests similar to those used by the Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ), which raised suspicions of a fake police operation.
The incident occurred at 11:39 a.m. near the Cemex company in the Juan Díaz district, when the victim was driving a gray Kia Sportage. At that moment, he was intercepted by a white sedan from which four armed men emerged. According to the report, the attackers were wearing blue jeans, police-style vests, and carrying firearms, with which they fired multiple shots at the vehicle. González was shot three times in the back, twice in the left thigh, and once in the hip.
He received first aid at the scene and was transported by SEMM ambulance to San Miguel Arcángel Hospital, where his death was confirmed at 12:25 p.m. Following the attack, police units launched operations in the area to locate those responsible, while reviewing video surveillance cameras that may have captured the incident. Authorities confirmed that the victim had no criminal record. It was also learned that he was the CEO of the brokerage firm Firmus Financial Inc.
González had extensive experience in the international banking sector. He had held positions such as vice president and executive in Swiss financial institutions with operations in the Bahamas and, for the past 11 years, had resided in Panama, where he was active in the stock market. The financial executive maintained his offices in the Financial Park Tower, located in Costa del Este, and made frequent trips to different South American countries for work purposes.
