The Cobre Panamá Simulator at the David Fair: More than 5,000 People Participate

Cobre Panamá presents a virtual reality experience at the International Fair and sets a precedent in the way the industry communicates. Presented by: COPPER PANAMA.

Cobre Panamá presents at the David International Fair a virtual reality experience that allows the public to learn about and interact with the operation of equipment used during the production stage of the project, becoming one of the most visited spaces of the event.  In the first few days of the fair, the stand has exceeded 5,000 visitors, of whom more than 500 have used the virtual reality simulator, reflecting a high level of participation and a marked interest in learning how a modern mine operates through technology.  Located at the main entrance of the venue, in the David Building (stands 20, 21, 22 and 23), the space allows visitors not only to observe, but also to interact with simulations that recreate the operation of key equipment, facilitating a clearer understanding of the processes.

“More than 5,000 people have visited in just a few days, and that confirms something very clear: there is interest in understanding. When people can see, interact, and experience, the conversation changes completely. That is the value of launching this technology at the David Fair,” stated Maru Gálvez, Public Relations Manager for Cobre Panamá.  Cobre Panamá sets a new standard in how the industry communicates, bringing its processes closer to the public in a direct, understandable, and participatory way. This demonstrates that when technology is used to enhance knowledge, it can spark interest, generate conversation, and transform how people approach mining.
