Panama celebrates the Year of the Water Rabbit

 

From January 14 to March 19, cultural, commercial and tourist activities will take place, to  celebrate the Chinese New Year,  the year of the Water Rabbit.

The Spring Festival is a unified calendar of all the activities that the Chinese community in Panama performs every year, from the celebration of the new year to the dragon boat races, kite and tambourine festival and much more; It is an opportunity for coexistence, healthy entertainment for the Panamanian family and a contribution to the economic reactivation of the country.

The Spring Festival in Panama will have a series of activities starting on January 14, among which the ExpoAuto y Vivienda in Altaplaza Mall, on January 14 and 15, from 11:00 am to 8:00 p.m.

 In Panama City, the main events will be on January 20, 21, and 22 at Centenario Park, at the entrance to Casco Viejo in Panama City, between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm with a great Foodie Fest, artisan exhibition, tourist guides from Chinatown and artists such as Raíces y Cultura, Osvaldo Ayala and the Panamanian Chinese singer, Brenda Lau.

On January 21 and 22, the Chinese New Year Fair will be held, in the main shopping centers of the city: Super Centro El Dorado, Multiplaza, Altaplaza Mall and Metromall. Among the attractions that will be offered at the fairs are exhibitions  of Chinese culture, sales of handicrafts, calligraphy, among others.
