The AAUD Cleans the Amador Causeway after the New Year’s Celebrations
During the New Year’s celebrations, hundreds of people gathered in this tourist area to enjoy and launch fireworks and have a pleasant time. The cleanup day began very early.
Panama: A cleaning day on the Amador Causeway (Ancon) was launched early this January 1st by the Urban and Domestic Cleaning Authority (AAUD). During the New Year’s celebrations, hundreds of people gathered in this tourist area to enjoy the fireworks and have a good time. Unfortunately, all the trash generated during the event was left scattered on the road, sidewalks, and even the seashore.
Therefore, with brooms and dustpans in hand, a team of the so-called ‘little ants’ was deployed by the AAUD to the area to collect all the waste. One garbage container was even set on fire and will now have to be replaced. The main objective of this operation was to have the area ready and clean to receive dozens of families who come together every year to spend January 1st, during the day, in the tourist area.
