Shamans in Peru Predict that Nicolás Maduro Will Leave Power in Venezuela in 2026
A total of eleven shamans, or spiritual leaders, from various regions of Peru, met in Lima to perform a ritual of predictions for the coming year.
Cleofé Sedano, a shaman from the Amazonian department of Loreto, told news reporters that he and his colleagues foresaw that “there will be very serious problems between Maduro and Donald Trump” and that “a third world war could even break out.” A group of Peruvian shamans and healers predicted on Monday that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro will step down from power in 2026, due to the tension he maintains with the United States , and that, therefore, US President Donald Trump will emerge as the winner in that conflict. A total of eleven shamans, or spiritual leaders, from various regions of Peru, met in Lima to perform a prediction ritual for the coming year on the cliff of La Herradura beach, facing the Pacific Ocean, in a group session in which offerings were made for “a good year” for humanity.
With the help of hallucinogenic plants such as Ayahuasca and San Pedro, the shamans claimed to have foreseen the fate of some of the leaders who are involved in serious global conflicts, such as Maduro and Trump. According to Sedano, the United States will be the winner in that conflict, because “this year (2026) Maduro will more or less, step down” from power. The healer from Loreto also predicted that there will be “very strong” earthquakes throughout the world, while in Peru “there will be calm” during the presidential and legislative elections next April. In turn, the ‘shaman of the Andes’, from the Áncash region, Félix Roldan Mejía, said that despite the support that China and Russia may offer to Venezuela, “the winner will very soon be the United States.”
“That’s what we’ve seen, and it’s been in the works for years,” he noted before insisting that the United States “is going to enter Venezuela anyway,” as a supposed solution to the political and humanitarian crisis in that country. However, I also predict that South America and the rest of the world will be “greatly affected” by this eventual intervention, supposedly born out of “ambition” for Venezuela’s oil. “Venezuela will always be in economic trouble because of these problems with Trump; we see it as quite catastrophic,” Roldan stated. The shamans stated that Trump has “a lot of anxiety,” but stressed that they performed the ritual to help him “cleanse himself” and so that, along with other world leaders, he can think about humanity and put conflicts aside.
In the final days of each year, rituals with shamans and fortune tellers proliferate in Lima and other cities in Peru, offering to ward off bad luck and attract prosperity, as well as health and love for the following year. In some cases they use coca leaves, hallucinogens and brews, and in others they also use animals such as the quirquincho (hairy armadillo), frogs and reptiles, a reason why the National Forest and Wildlife Service (Serfor) warned this Monday about their illegal use in more than 2,319 cases linked to rituals that seek to attract good luck.
