ENVIRONMENT: Youth rallies to change the world
Greta Thunberg is a 16-year-old Swedish girl who decided to act so that the world’s governments responsibly face the very serious danger of climate change. With the strength of its principles and the strength of its convictions, Greta has managed to make the most different governments listen to it. The leaders of Europe and the parliamentarians of the United States have had to open their doors to environmental civic protest. Today thousands of young people around the world will make protests to accompany the ethical claim of this young warrior of the 21st century.
The United Nations Youth Summit on Climate will be inaugurated tomorrow, in which young leaders, all heroes, from the various countries of the world will have the opportunity to speak directly to the governments of the world, and will present them in different languages and voices, the same proposal, to alter the course of human history, and address a common problem that affects us all. The spirit of youth is the source of greatest hope for our civilization. Children and adolescents and young adults are demonstrating that they are natives of sustainability and peace. Greta and his companions have already changed the world.- LA PRENSA, Oct.20
