Colón, Chiriquí, Veraguas, and Los Santos: Bad Weather Wreaks Havoc in Four Provinces
In Santa Cruz, a district of Renacimiento, a house was flooded due to a stream overflowing its banks.

The National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) reported that 15 incidents were recorded on Thursday as a result of rains that affected various provinces across the country. In the Isla Grande district, Juan Gallegos sector, eight homes suffered roof collapses, affecting 39 people, including one with a disability. A tree also fell on a residence, with no injuries. SINAPROC personnel conducted assessments to detect possible additional damage. In Santa Cruz, a district of Renacimiento, a house was flooded due to the overflow of a stream. In the Guarumal sector of the Soná district, a tree fell across the road in the San Antonio area.

Other fallen trees were also reported on the highway connecting Soná with El Tigre de Los Amarillos. In La Trinchera, a district of San Andrés, four homes were affected by flooding caused by a river overflowing. In Guararé, La Cruz neighborhood, three homes were damaged by roof collapses. SINAPROC personnel provided assistance to those affected. SINAPROC maintains a warning for heavy rains, storms, and wind gusts in the country, and recommends that the population take precautions, especially in vulnerable areas.
