Pilot recycling project collects 6.19 tons in less than a month
A pilot recycling project has collected 6.19 tons of recyclable material such as cardboard, paper, cans, brass, plastic bottles, glass, oil or tetrapak, in Don Bosco from March 15 to April 11
The Recicletas initiative consists of three modified mountain bikes with collection wagons (made with discarded structures) that collect recyclable material from door to door during the week in Don Bosco, specifically in the Teremar neighborhood (project pilot area).
During the first month Recicletas has directly impacted 60 families that actively participate in the test area, about 100 households throughout the township, and about 5,000 sensitized people in general in the first weeks of action, according to the first report prepared by the Marea Verde Foundation and the Don Bosco Community Board.
