Good mornings begin with the Breakfast Show
Radio listeners seeking at little extra punch with their morning coffee, will be able to find it starting on Monday (April 5).
That’s when they can share live offerings with veteran broadcaster Gerry D. (Dowden) on the English language Breakfast Show.
The newly created show on 89.3 (Cool FM) will run from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., Monday to Friday and will be an eclectic mixture of music, news and local information.
Newsroom Panama’s editor David Young, will be providing the 8 a.m. news spot and in collaboration with Steve Heinz and Newsroom entertainment writer Andrea Calderon will produce a weekly survey of upcoming events.
There will be other regular featured broadcasters and drop in celebrities and newsmakers. And it’s free, just set your dial.
Those who have listened to GerryD on his “Cool” evening programs or on his trail blazing Sunday evening broadcasts which are picked up across the American continent, will be familiar with his easy going style, and his encyclopedic knowledge of music.
The big difference with the breakfast program is that it will be live, and Gerry will be only a phone call away for your call-ins
But his laid back presentation style will not be a morning snooze button.
The format will be “lively wake up music with a cool twist”, spiced up with his own brand of humor, developed his broadcasting years in the RAF (Royal Air Force) and to hospital patients in London, and since 2006 in Panama with two local stations.
If you miss the live broadcast you will be ale to get a website replay, which will be seen around the continent.
