Painting like, – or unlike – Klee

Over 800 artists in the making from toddlers to 17 year olds turn up at the ACP (Panama Canal) headquarters on Saturday, February 19, to sit in the sun and paint in the style of Paul Klee.

The Swiss impressionist painter lived from 1879 to 1940 and left much to pass on to others. But, artists being a free thinking crowd, if, you had a different way to express yourself with the paint brush or, as with some toddlers, with your fingers, that was OK too. Klee would have understood. Everyone went home happy.

The event was sponsored by the Olga Sinclair Foundation seeking to expand interest in art among young Panamanians. It's working.
