Theatre Guild auditions coming up
By Emilie Gendron
Panama’s longest running English speaking stage group, The Ancon Theatre Guild, is getting ready to audition for its next show.
This time around they will be presenting Bearclaw a one act play by Timothy Mason. It will be directed by Hilary Hughes, co-directed by Amit Nathani and produced by Amit Nathani and Giancarlo Benedetti.
Following on the last show a hugely successful comedy, God’s Best Friend, this is a drama with bits of dark humor and has only four characters. {jathumbnail off}
In his review of the last show David Young opined that things can’t get any better, but somehow at the Theatre Guild they always do. So there’s something worthwhile to look forward to.
In the meantime if you want to tread the boards instead of watching from the stalls and you think you fit into any of the following moulds, drop into the theatre between 3 and 6 p.m. on Saturday March 12
– A mid to late 60's male to play Peter, an intelligent, retired History teacher.
– An early 20's male to play the part of Paul, a sarcastic but tender orderly.
– A mid 20's to mid 30's male to play the part of Peter, Jr. an
intelligent, sensitive, all around good guy.
– A late 20's to mid 30's female to play the part of Constance, a
tough-love nurse.
The directors and producers are looking for hard working, passionate people to make this production (as usual) an incredible one. And to give the lie to "It can’t come any Better."
If you're looking to try something new and are ready to take on a different challenge, stop by and audition. Rehearsals start on March 21
