OPINION: A budget with not a dime unspent

The adjustments recommended by the National Assembly to the general budget of the State for the validity of 2023 – which amount to about $460 million – are revealing in several aspects, especially those recommended to continue doing politics covertly with our tax money. For example, $64.3 million more for the National Decentralization Authority, which, as we know, its law was modified to allow the hiring of more people instead of making investments in the communities.

The deputies even asked to increase $4 million to the Unachi budget, which this year had already approved at least $9 million in salary increases. And the unexpected: a starting transfer of almost $12 million for the Assembly itself, without the support of Deputy Crispiano Adames.
