Triple threat COVID, dengue influenza

Health authorities have called for people with symptoms like those caused by COVID-19 to undergo tests for proper corroboration since cases of this disease have been increasing for a few weeks. In the latter, for example, 766 new cases have been reported, especially in areas of the Panama district and San Miguelito. But that’s not all, there is also an alarming growth in dengue cases, which almost double the amount from a year ago at this same time. Currently, there are more than 15 thousand cases, while in 2022 there were just under 8 thousand. In the case of dengue, families must prevent mosquito breeding sites in their respective homes, whose bite causes respiratory disease, which should also be a reason for medical consultation. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health must carry out the fumigations that were done in the past more frequently, to minimize the presence of these insects, which prefer clean waters to lay their eggs. We must not forget that they prefer domestic environments, so it largely depends on ourselves that the disease does not reach our immediate environment.
