Prositutes on trial for lawyer killing
The closed door trial of two prostitutes accused of murdering a prominent Panamanian lawyer will start today(April 27).
Blanca Donado and Melany Narváez are charged with killing Juan Carlos Dudley, vice president of the National Association of Lawyers.
It took place on Dec. 17, 2007 in a "push-button" motel on Vía Transístmica.
The attorney was stabbed to death in what police said at the time was an attempt to rob him.
The hearing will take place behind closed doors and will be presided over by Judge Enrique Mon.
A total of 11 experts and 15 witnesses are expected to testify.
