Garbage workers want their voices heard

Workers of the Metropolitan garbage collection unit (DIMAUD) want to be taken into account over the new proposal to  transfer  garbage collection to the municipalities.

Rodolfo Olivares, secretary general of the Association of DIMAUD employees, said that they have not been consulted. “All we know is what has appeared in the media” he said on RPC Radio.

There are 3,000 DIMAUD  workers said Olivares. all we ask is to take our opinion into account”

The new entity will assume the role that has belonged to the Municipality of Panama.
