Fourth Panama transit death in three days
The public transit death toll in Panama continues to climb. A business man, was run over and killed by a bus in Santa Ana, Panama on Wednesday, 1 morning, (September 1) bringing the total to four people killed by diablos rojos in three days.
The victim is presumed to be a businessman of Asian origin, said Teofilo Moreno, head of of Traffic Police.
Alberto Arrieta, 38, driver of the bus on route Veranillo Street-Tumba Muerto, was arrested by order of an Assistant Attorney.
The Santa Ana death followed two, a few blocks away in Plaza Cinco de Mayo on Monday, and on Tuesday a woman was killed by a bus in Portobelo.
