New U.S. Ambassador arrives in Panama.

The new U.S. Ambassador to Panama,Phyllis Powers, arrived in the country on Monday, September 13.

She was appointed to the post to replace Barbara Stephenson who has moved to become head of mission in London England.
Powers will shortly present her credentials to President Ricardo Martinelli.
The new ambassador was deputy head of mission of the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru, 2005 to 2007 and also served as administrative counselor to the Embassy in Colombia.
