What’s ON: Jazz and lots more

Starting on January 13, at the request of many readers Newsroom is re-introducing the “What’s On” section, a calendar of upcoming events.

It is not a replacement for the Entertainment Section, but a thumbnail listing of community and social events that you may wish to attend. When a fuller story has been written and posted elsewhere on the site, we will provide a link.
The highlight event of the week is of course the Jazz Festival. So if you are planning to attend, check “What’s On” for timing and costs. Saturday’s event is free and if you don’t want to walk from Avenida Balboa, there is free transport, from Metrocenter courtesy of the Hard Rock Café.
We welcome notices of upcoming functions from clubs , organizations and cultural groups.
