Relax : accident report form being revamped

If you are still wondering about the accident report form that you were supposed to carry in your car from February 1, relax.

The form which in its original version looked like a grocery reminder list or an election numerator’s check tabulation form, is being revamped again.

The rush to print, if you can call a program that was first announced in March 2010 a rush, didn’t include consultations with the police or the insurance industry.
Now Transit authority (ATTT) official Marcos Mora says the changes are based on recommendations from those source The changes, he said will offer greater protections for drivers

The ATTT is planning a media campaign to alert drivers to the new procedures after a minor accident. The changes include moving the vehicles involved out of the way of traffic. So far, no indication of where to move them in crowded thoroughfares or where forms will be available.
The change was scheduled to start on February 1, but was delayed a month for form changes.
