Low octane gas price to be frozen Minister

The price of 91 octane gas, will fall a couple of cents on Saturday, April 23 and be frozen at $4 a gallon. Diesel  will be frozen at $3.80 a gallon.

But if you use 95 octane  stand by for a hike on Saturday to $4.50 with more increases likely to follow.

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Roberto Henriquez, made the  announcement  on Sunday, April 16,  in the Open Debate program on RPC Chanel 4.It had previously been forecast that fuel priceswouild increase by around 11 cents a gallon on April 23  and, , the Government decided to intervene.
The current price at the pumps  for  a gallon of 91 octane is at $ 402 and with the forecast increase qould have  reached  at $.4.13. 
A gallon of diesel is $ 3.81 with a projected increase of 16 cents, which wopuld have meant  $3.97. at gas stations.The  government will keep the price at  $3.80.

The price of  95 octane gasoline will rise, said Henriquez, to a record high of  of $ 4.50, and the law of supply and demand will operate.
