Memorial mass for 5 murdered students
A mass to remember five murdered Asian students from Chorrera will be held 3.30 pm, Sunday September 18, at Santuario Nacional del Corazon de Maria.
They had all been kidnapped, murdered and buried under the floor of a house in Chorrera. A man from the Dominican Republic, who had rented the house for a year, is being held as a suspect.
Belongings of the five were found in a suitcase in the house along with a large sum of ransom money. Their bodies were found below a tiled concrete slab.
Two of the students had been attending the Technological University and three were at the University of Panama.
They were named as: Yesenia Lou Kam, 19; Young Wu Ken, 27; Sammy Zenq Chen, 19; Yoel Liu Wung,19; and Georgina Lee Chen 18.
