Mayors Christmas fantasies need more room city official
The space provided on the Cinta Costera by the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) for the holiday villages of Panama’s villas is not enough say city officials.
The assistant manager of Events Alberto Arbesú said child rides and the infant stage will be installed in Parqu Urracs due to lack of space on the coastal strip.
"So far we have prepared several displays and we are also finishing the conditioning of the electrical system and now can begin to put up the villages, " said Arbesú, who noted that the rains have delayed some work. The exhibits were set to be in place by December 1.
Previously the Mayor installed rides very close to the Seafood Market, but that space has been occupied by the MOP to build a breakwater at a cost of $37 million.
