1000 children to get art introduction on Christmas Eve
MORE THAN a thousand Panamanian children between 2 and 17 years of age will participate in a December 24 cultural event "Painting with Olga SInclair and Joan Miro."
The program is is an initiative of the Olga Sinclair and Mapfre Foundations .The participants come from some of Panama’s less priveleged areas like Chorrillo, Curundu, San Felipe, Santa Ana, Calidonia, San Miguelito, Diciembre 24, and other communities.
For Dino Mon, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Mapfre Panama, each child who paints with Olga Sinclair is a promise for the future Panamanian artists.
"I am confident that this initiative will dramatically change the lives of hundreds of thousands of children and artists will emerge that will allow influence our lives through art, as Olga has done in each of her works," he said.
"In Panama Mapfre we want to link with the community through exchange, cooperation and the cultivation of values that help in the transformation of child, youth and family. We believe, as described by the Sinclair Fundation, that art is an catalyst of personalities and talents in the most important stage of human life and may be the tool that allows our children to develop their full potential" . said Mon
The project seeks to encourage expression through art, culture and the talent of our youth, promoting cultural and racial unity through love for art and achieve integral human development, harmony and respect.
