Martinelli delegates role at state funeral

President Ricardo Martinelli, will not give the keynote address at the Sunday funeral of former President Arnulfo Arias Madrid.

The duty, to be delivered in a mausoleum in the city of Penonomé, Cocle.has been  delegated Foreign Minister, Roberto Henriquez reports La Prensa. When asked if Martinelli attend  the funeral a spokesman said that further details would be revealed later in a press release.

The President's participation in official acts of the state funeral of Arias Madrid, three times president of Panama was questioned by members of the Panameñista Party which broke the alliance with the ruling Democratic Change last year. Panameñistas joined  the ranks of the opposition.
