Transit police monitoring school log jams

Transit police (ATTT) were out early on Monday, February 27, to assess traffic jams near schools in Panama.

Traffic Operations Director, Teofilo Moreno, said that the  assessment it to enable the authority  to  take corrective measures in relation to traffic on major roads in the country.

Moreno told Telemetro Report  that staff  were concentrating on traffic near schools, to prevent drivers crowding  at the entrances. "We will make adjustments," he said. He noted that the officers were on the streets from 5:00 am and  there have been cases of police being injured, because of drivers who say they could not see in the dark.
