Diablos Rojos close road to Pacora

Owners of some of the last of Panama’s diablos rojos became the latest group of highway blockers on Monday March 5, as they parked  their vehicles at Manianita on the way to Pacora.

Last week the route was twice blocked by indigenous protestors.

The transportistas  were demanding their promised compensatiion of $25,000 per aging former school bus as new metro buses come on stgream/

A meeting between carrier leaders and Transit Authority (ATTT) representatives began at Juan Diaz. They were expected to be joined by representatives of the Ministry of the Presidency  and the Comptroller General’s office.

The introduction of the new buses was postponed.
