Users stealing safety equipment from Metro buses

The manager of My Bus, which operates the Metro Bus system has appealed to users to take pride in the buses and to stop stealing  safety equipment.

Ivan Posada said Thursday, April 3 that people steal hammers and fire extinguishers that are  provided for the safety of passengers.

He added that the company has  that I hired about 290 people to provide round the clock  maintenance for the buses.

Hope Mena, Vice President of the Foundation for the Protection of Users of Public Transport and Road, , said that while it is important that the hammers and fire extinguishers remain available to users for any emergency, the company should take note of other situations.

For Mena is important that the motto of Metro Bus "comfortable, safe-reliable and timely" really is that, since the buses, he added, are not providing efficient because passengers are  losing time and: "Time is money" He also said that there are complaints that the buses are delayed because there are  not enough buses to meet demand from users in places such as San Isidro, Don Bosco, Siesta Tocumen and December 24.
