If you think its hot, it is, and its official

If you have felt a little warmer than usual this week, it’s because Panama is experiencing a heat wave, with  temperatures averaging 32 degrees.Add the humidity effect and that gives a  feeling of 34-35 degrees.

The average is usually 26-27.

 A climate forecast released Thursday, May 24 by  the state Electric Transmission Company, SA (ETESA) promises more of the same for the next three months and even higher in some areas in coming weeks.

Street and radio talk is taken up with weather gossip these days says the Efe news agency 

The maximum temperature could even touch 38 degrees Celsius in some areas of the country. Add the humidity and that will be warm.

The rainy season in Panama began at the end of April and, according to the ETESA report,  .rainfall associated with the so-called "San Juan Veranito" is expected to decrease between late July and early August.
