Presidential candidates must resign ministries – Martinelli

President Ricardo Martinelli re-affirmed on Thursday February 21, that ministers wishing to be candidates for the presidency will have to resign from office.

Martinelli, who was attending the inauguration of Kings College, a British school in Clayton,  said that he does not want to encounter problems with allegations that state money is being used for political purposes.

"I do not want any misinterpretations that ministers who are running in the primary are using funds from the state," he said.
