Soccer giant opens school in Panama, rates Pele best ever

PELE was the greatest ever soccer player says former Brazilian star Zico, while visiting Panama to open a new soccer school, Zico 10.

Maradona , the former Argentinean (Hand of God) soccer star, will not be amused. Never one to take himself lightly he continues to promote himself in as the world’s best.

Maradona created the “Hand of God” legend when he used the expression during a press conference in a 1986 World Cup quarter final game in Mexico against England, when he scored the winning goal with his hand, an incident not seen by the Turkish referee. Zico played in three World Cups Argentina 78, Spain 82 and Mexico 86.
Two of the finals : Italy- Brazil, in 1982, and France-Brazil, in 1986, had the largest audiences in the history of the world.
Zico also had a historic moment with the Brazilian tam Flamengo, crowned the champion of the 1981 Copa Libertadores and Intercontinental Cup winners.
Zico founded his soccer school Zico 10, in Brazil and has chosen Panama for his forst overseas school. 10 is the number he wore on his shirt when playing for his country.
Asked by La Prensa his opinion of current stars Messi and Ronaldo, he said “Messi is an extraordinary player and I think that if he continues he may be one of the best in the history of football Cristiano Ronaldo is a major player, the difference is that Messi can create a play, Ronaldo depends a little on the team.
Asked if Zico Was better than Maradona he said: “No, I was not better. Best of all is Pelé, has always been the best ever with Garrincha. Maradona was the best in my generation and now it is Messi."
