Cell phone evidence disappears during murder trial

SEVEN MOBILE phone chips that were entered as documentary evidence in the murder case of university student Aira Guerra have been lost say judicial sources.

Prosecutor Luis Martínez, in a report to Attorney General Ana Belfón, said that seven of the chips are missing.

Meanwhile, sources of the Chiriquí High Court confirmed an arrest warrant for Edwin Oldemar Avila.
Avila said he was innocent and asked for bail at a hearing, but his request was denied. He claims he did not know the victim.
