Panama a prisoner of Martinelli Colombian observer

PANAMA is a prisoner of [Ricardo] Martinelli "who does not seem to want the best for the country” says a former director of Colombia’s Directory of Security (DAS) the country’s intelligence agency.

That is the perception from abroad says Ramiro Bejarano Guzman.

Guzman was one of many victims of espionage by Maria del Pilar Hurtado when she served as director of the DAS and who today remains in Panama after being granted asylum by Martinelli although Colombia issued an international arrest warrant for her.
The Colombian, now a columnist for El Espectador, said Wednesday August 28, on the TV program Sin Rodeos run by La Prensa journalist Flor Mizrachi, says there is "a gray perception of what is happening in Panama," referring to government of Martinelli.
From the neighboring country, Panama said Guzman a is seen as in a constitutional crisis. "There are terrible things happening and it is difficult tto hear good comments about Martinelli and the papers, do not speak well of Martinelli, and do not have a good impression of him as governor," said Guzman.
He added that Martinelli is a person that during this period the government has created a dark impression . "Panama is a prisoner of Martinelli and he decides what he wants and does not seem to want the best for Panama."
Given these attitudes the differences between Panama’s President nd Colombian president Alvaro Uribe are minimal and they are described as "despicable".
He remarked, "They are arbitrary in power with a personality complex. The impression I have is that Panama has to be living through very terrible hours, but what is clear is that between Martinelli and Uribe are more similarities than difference and to the eyes of a person like me makes them equally despicable ".
