Fraudulent land sale settlement
ONE OF Panama’s leading non-Catholic pastors has agreed to return two farms at El Cruce de Boquerón, in the face of proceedings over fraudulent sale.
The move came after telephone conversations during the weekend between Ricardo Alberto Sitton and attorney, Jose Maria Lezcano.
Pastor Edwin Alvarez Cleotaldo is expected to sign the papers on Wednesday, September 4 or Thursday. September 5.
The agreement will transfer the land to Octavio Rodriguez and he will return it to the descendants of Alberto Rios Sitton.
Maria Lezcano, Ricardo Sitton’s lawyer, filed a complaint for fraudulent sale of land of the deceased Alberto Sitton Rios, The two farms were sold ten years after his death, and the land was acquired by the Christian Association of Communications.
Cleotalso is the pastor of the church attended by Panama pitching legend Mariano Rivera.
