Smart kids not exempted from discipline – Molinar
SOME of the National Institute students involved in recent protests that led to the suspension of classes were honor students, but that, says Education Minister Lucy Molinar, does not let them off the disciplinary hook.
She said Monday, November 11, that classes missed by students due to the protests, will be recovered.
Molinar, who participated in independence events in La Villa de Los Santos, said that "we cannot be controlled by some students who have not yet learned values that they need to learn."
Relating to the fact that some of the students involved in the protests were honor students, Molinar said that she will not intervene in the disciplinary processes and good academic records do not exempt them from responsibility.
She said that she will do her best to ensure that all schools have their graduations in time. The ceremonies are slated to begin December 15.
