Martineli shows disrespect for law and justice – Torrijos

THE MARTINELLI administration has shown "a clear trend toward being autocratic" and showing disregard and disrespect for law and justice said former president Martín Torrijos, on Sunday, December 15.

He said that during the five years of Martinelli's rule there have been surprises and persecutions which he disagrees with and some very basic questions have been raised under an autocratic leader.

He made these comments during the PRD convention where the party was selecting its candidates to the Central American Parliament.
The PRD leader also noted that the president is taking credit for the development that exists in the country which is really the product of the work of various governmental administrations and many generations.
However, he stressed that the country's development has not markedly improved the quality of life of Panamanians.
